I was tasked to create an opening sequence for an upcoming movie called Socialies which will be a fast-paced, visually striking montage that captures the glamorous, chaotic, and dark realities of social media.
It begins with a sleek mock-up of an Instagram page, filled with images of luxury—beautiful women and men, flashy cars, stacks of money, exotic animals, and sparkling jewelry. As the page scrolls, the mood shifts, revealing the darker side: heated fights, police crime scenes, mugshots, and flashing sirens.
Throughout the sequence, seductive close-ups of lips, legs, and hands tapping on screens are intercut with dramatic transitions—text bubbles popping up mid-scene, representing viral drama, gossip, and digital clout-chasing. Likes, comments, and notifications flood the screen, creating a hypnotic visual overload.
The sequence builds to a climax, blurring the lines between curated perfection and raw reality, setting the stage for Socialies—a story where social media isn’t just a platform, but a battleground.
